Volunteer Opportunity

Are you a pre-occupational therapy student in need of in-person hours and a letter of recommendation? Love working with children or want to try something new? Want to see how working in home-health/community setting is? 

We welcome pre-OT students who are passionate about learning and supporting children and families. To ensure a safe and productive experience, volunteers must meet the following requirements:

Requirements for pre-occupational therapy student:

• Minimum age: 18 years old

• Reliable transportation (will be traveling to various family's homes/communities)
   
• Currently enrolled in or planning to pursue a pre-occupational therapy or related undergraduate program
   
• Commit to a regular weekly schedule minimum of 2–4 hours/week
   
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn
   
• Background check (required before start date)
   
• Completion of a volunteer interview
   
• Signed confidentiality agreement/HIPAA form
   
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption (if applicable)
   
• Negative TB test
